TGG Hosts Mammoth Lakes Premier of Jeremy Jones Film Further

Mammoth Lakes, CA –

The Old Mammoth Road Jam will screen Teton Gravity Research’s Film “Further”  Friday, January 4 at the Event Center in the Sierra Center Mall.

“Further,” the companion film to last year’s Deeper, follows Jones far into unexplored terrain without the constraints of lifts or helicopters.

Jones, eight-time Big Mountain Snowboarder of the Year, has introduced split boarding to a new generation of boarders. He has impacted the sport perhaps more than any than any single person, organization or company by inspiring an entire generation to head to the backcountry.

Jeremy-Jones-Flyer_smJones rose to prominence in a string of big mountain films produced by his brothers, Steve and Todd Jones of Teton Gravity Reseach. Freeskiers and Boarders alike respect Jone’s for a career filled of riding  heavy lines through no-fall zones.

Jones is quickly becoming one of the most respected names in snowsports. While other celebrity boarders may claim household name recognition for exploits in the halfpipe, they often do not garner respect from the core of the snow community.

Not so with Jones. Athletes, groms, film goers and weekend warriors agree, Jones’ talent for survival in the most challenging terrain is unparallelled.

The screening, a fundraising event for the Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center, is part of the Old Mammoth Road Jam series of events in the heart of Mammoth. Attendees to Friday’s screening can meet Jeremy Jones himself on Saturday at 6:30 for Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center’s annual fundraiser. Display wristbands from the film at the door at the Eagle Lodge for five dollars off admission.
